Chosen Light Shipping Services

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using any service provided by Chosen Light Shipping Services, the customer agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. By proceeding with our services, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in full. Continued use of our services constitutes ongoing acceptance.

2. Scope of Services

Chosen Light Shipping Services provides courier and logistics services, including but not limited to:

  • Shipping from USA to Jamaica

  • Air and Sea Freight Services

  • Assisted online shopping (where applicable)

  • Warehousing and package handling

  • Pickup and delivery services

  • Delivery via third-party courier services where applicable

Chosen Light Shipping Services reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at its discretion without prior notice.

3. Shipping Schedule

Chosen Light Shipping Services operates on a weekly shipping schedule. All shipping timelines are estimates and are not guaranteed.

Delays may occur due to:

  • Customs processing

  • Carrier schedules

  • Weather conditions

  • Inspections or unforeseen circumstances

We are not responsible for delays beyond our control.

4. Service Areas

Chosen Light Shipping Services provides delivery services across Jamaica.

Deliveries outside of standard service areas may be facilitated through third-party couriers at the customer’s expense.

5. Responsibility, Risk & Liability

All shipments are transported at the customer’s own risk.

Chosen Light Shipping Services assumes limited liability for loss, damage, delay, or errors related to shipments.

Responsibility begins when the package is received at our warehouse and ends once the package is delivered or transferred to a third-party carrier.

We are not responsible for:

  • Vendor or supplier errors

  • Incorrect information provided by customers

  • Packages lost before reaching our warehouse

  • Delays or damages caused by third-party carriers

6. Packaging & Fragile Items

Chosen Light Shipping Services is not responsible for damage caused by improper or insufficient packaging.

Fragile items such as:

  • Electronics

  • Glass

  • Liquids

  • Cosmetics

  • Breakable goods

are shipped entirely at the customer’s risk.

7. Prohibited & Restricted Items

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all shipped items comply with local and international laws.

Prohibited items include:

  • Illegal drugs or controlled substances

  • Firearms, ammunition, or weapons

  • Explosives or hazardous materials

  • Counterfeit or replica goods

  • Pornographic or obscene materials

  • Perishable foods

  • Live animals

  • Cash, cheques, or negotiable instruments

Any prohibited items may be confiscated, disposed of, or surrendered to authorities without refund. Chosen Light Shipping Services assumes no liability for fines, penalties, or seizures.

8. Customs, Duties & Fees

Customers are responsible for all:

  • Customs declarations

  • Duties and taxes

  • Government fees

Chosen Light Shipping Services is not liable for customs delays, inspections, or seizures.

9. Assisted Online Shopping Services (If Applicable)

For assisted online shopping:

  • Full payment must be made in advance

  • Customers must confirm item details before purchase

  • Payments are non-refundable once purchase is made

Chosen Light Shipping Services is not responsible for vendor-related issues such as incorrect items, sizing, delays, or cancellations.

10. Payments

Accepted payment methods include:

  • Cash

  • Bank transfer

  • Online payments

All payments must be settled in full before shipment processing begins. Payments are non-refundable once processing has started.

11. Claims & Complaints

All claims must be submitted within 48 hours of receiving your package.

Claims must be submitted via email or official claim form.

Supporting documentation such as receipts, invoices, and photographs may be required.

WhatsApp messages do not constitute official claims.

12. Storage & Uncollected Packages

  • Packages must be collected within 7 days of notification

  • Storage fees may apply after this period

  • Packages uncollected after 30 days may be disposed of or auctioned

Customers remain responsible for any outstanding charges.

13. Cancellations

Cancellations must be requested at least 24 hours prior to scheduled service.

Cancellation fees may apply. Chosen Light Shipping Services reserves the right to cancel services at its discretion.

14. Amendments

Chosen Light Shipping Services reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between Chosen Light Shipping Services and the customer regarding all services provided.
